About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Canadian, born and raised on the east coast in the province of New Brunswick. Most recently, I lived and worked in Toronto in the marketing and advertising industry. During my 5 years living in Toronto I learned more than I could have ever imagined. Working in Toronto gave me the opportunity to work on some of the worlds largest brands including Microsoft, Samsung, Wonderbread and some home-grown ones such as Lotto Max and 6/49 but I also learned a lot about myself. I grew up in a small coastal town (St. Andrews By-the-Sea: Population 1,889) so moving to a city the size of Toronto (urban population of 5,132,794) was quit the shock to my system. However, it made moving to California much easier on me. Toronto certainly gave me a thicker skin but more importantly it allowed me to appreciate where I came from and how I was raised.

Now living in CA, I feel that I’ve come full circle in my life. Living on the west isn’t so different from life on the east: slower pace of life, extremely kind people, same coastal smells and the thing I enjoy the most is having my time back. If you work in a city or you ever have you’ll understand what I mean. Time is a luxury most don’t enjoy when working in a city. I absolutely love this state so far! I’ve seen coastal beauty living on the east but this type of beauty is different yet familiar. Soooo what am I doing now??

I am living in California with a whole new state to explore and experience. There is so much to see and do and so much to share with friends and family. It’s hard to capture all the beauty that this state has through individual emails and Facebook. It is for this reason that I was motivated to start this blog. If you decide you want to check back from time to time you’ll find post about new recipes I’ve tried, health and nutrition, my dog Charlie, the ocean, my amateur photography, wineries, music and anything else I love and will soon discover I love. I hope you continue reading and enjoy!

P.s. I should also put the disclaimer on here that all posts I make are meant for fun and I am by no means an expert in any of these fields. Use  my suggestions at your own risk…haha….I will however always reference any original content so you can go to the source (if applicable).
